Systems Integration Technician II - III
Description of Position
Description of Position:
Linux Systems Integrator to
support deployed and new installations. Qualified candidates will work with
other team members on various levels of operating systems, applications and
related support in the Linux environment.
The individual should have
experience with the following:
· RedHat Linux, or
advanced general Linux knowledge
· Familiar with
Puppet and Cloud computing
· Demonstrate an
expert understanding of UNIX conventions and usage
· Understanding of
RPM package format and APT-RPM distribution method
· Troubleshooting
of standard daemons and tools (NFS, NTP, BIND, APACHE, SYSLOG, logrotate,
chkconfig, init scripts, curl, general networking, etc.)
· Perform
installation of firmware and software for systems
· Experience
performing all aspects of the integration and test of the system including:
- Quality
assurance
- Set
up / debug system interfaces
- Set
up / debugging network interface architecture
- Loading
the operating system
- Loading
applications
· Ensure systems
are kept in required configuration profile, including: patch maintenance,
changes as required by evolvement of production environments, updating software
and software configurations
· Ability to
understand complex systems with many components
· Practical
experience with YUM
· Hands-on
experience with IBM Blade Centers and Dell servers
· Experience with
bash/perl/php or other scripting languages
· Assume other
duties/projects as they arise and be responsive to the needs of the department
· Familiarity with
PKI keys
· Provide daily
status reports on activities completed and current projects
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in
Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree and meet the
experience requirement or equivalent documented combination of training and
experience.
· 5+ years
Linux experience, RedHat Enterprise Linux preferred
· Experience with
system-of-system integration/debugging
· Ability to see
architectural implications driven by component changes
· 3+ years
direct experience with an intelligence community of signals intelligence
activity desired
· Experience in
Agile methods is desired
Security:
Candidates must have TS/SCI clearance with full scope poly.

Salary: Salary commensurate with experience.
