System Engineer – II/III

Description of Position

Description of Position:
As a member of the Operational System Analysis team selected candidate will be responsible for managing the investigation, resolution and reporting of all related System problems and incidents. The primary goal is to prevent problems and resulting incidents from occurring, to eliminate recurring incidents, and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.

This will include:  analyzing scripts, system logs, interfaces, and dataflows; attending appropriate meetings, briefings, and demonstrations; and producing and reporting all findings to Government leadership.

                                                                       

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership and management experience
  • Strong communications skills
  • Experience conducting System Analysis of complex operational software systems to include trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements
  • Experience with script writing  
  • Working knowledge of Linux (evidenced in work-history)

 

Other Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of collection systems

Education:  Candidate must meet the education requirements in the labor category.  Six years over the required years experience may substitute for the BS requirement.  Certifications and AA degrees count as 1 year experience each.
