Senior Software Engineer (SSWE)
Description of Position
Oversee, manage and contribute to the
software system engineering needs of the team. This includes:
· Developing
HLT requirements and prototype software for applications that can be supported
via the PPF (Packet Processing Framework) and cloud computing architectures
(text / voice)
· Developing
requirements for correlation applications to associate various classes of
metadata
· Developing
requirements for visualization tools and techniques to include charts, plots,
graphs, and web pages.
· Supporting
other HSHV activities that might need software and/or script support
· Integration
scripts or glue code to support the integration of HLT applications into real
time systems
· Scripts
or programs to process data for evaluations
· New
real time HLT applications
· Managing
interaction with external development teams
· Responsible
for design activities of the team
· Lead
peer reviews
Desired Skills
· 10+
years of software development experience
· 5+
years of experience leading software efforts
· 5+
years developing language processing applications
· Strong
C++/C, Java, and Pearl skills especially in a threaded near real-time
environment
· Previous
experience in evaluation efforts or with HLT algorithms
