Systems Engineer

Description of Position

 

Job Description:

 

These positions will provide direct systems engineering support to a program and related efforts within T12. Specific duties include:

·         Support to the integration and alignment of time phased development activities, including integration trade analysis and compliance with established acquisition, logistics, engineering, security and operational standards.

·         Assist in the transition to and execution of the internal governance boards.

·         Development and implementation of SE processes, migration plans and program/project level SE documents.

·         Alignment and synchronization of T12 processes to larger corporate and enterprise processes.

Assistance and Oversight to T12 Tier 2 programs from SE perspective to include participating in IPTs, identifying need for overarching T12 SE process support, reviewing SE documentation, supporting project level CCBs and supporting ongoing planning, scheduling and road map development efforts and assisting programs/projects to develop required engineering products. 

Individual Capabilities Required:

 

·   Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Communications, Computer, or Electrical), Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar degree and meets the experience requirements, or equivalent documented combination of training and experience.

·   Minimum 5 years as a Systems Engineer in programs that includes demonstrated experience with DoDAF architecture development, requirements management, program/project planning and scheduling processes.

·   Position requires working knowledge of systems engineering processes and practices including requirements management, interface development, technical documentation, and related processes. 

·   Individual must have experience with Requirements management tools, such as ReqPro or DOORs.

·   Individuals must possess flexibility and personality skills to work within a dynamic, high-visibility, multi-contractor environment, working with government and contractor personnel.

·   Individual must possess demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders to reach mutual agreements on goals, objectives, program/domain capabilities, interfaces and milestones.

Individual must quickly gain understanding of the goals of the customer organization and apply knowledge to implementation planning and execution.
