Configuration Management Assistant (CMA)
Description of Position
· In coordination with project developers and mangers, develop, publish, and maintain the project Configuration Management Plan and other appropriate configuration management documents for all tested and formally delivered software.
· Work with project development teams to manage and control the source code repository and releases (Subversion and Trac). Develop and implement a change control process, release management process and other critical CM processes.
· With cooperation from developer managers implement and enforce configuration management practices consistent with the Configuration Management Plan for GHOSTMACHINE and PRESSUREWAVE.
· Oversee and comply with Gate Criteria as it applies to software deliveries by T131 projects and software acceptance from outside projects that T131 projects depend on.
· Act as the Secretariat for the Project/Program Configuration Control Board.
· Monitor and control the baseline build functions, making changes and improvements as necessary.
· Update baseline copies as configuration changes are made in development and testing
· Track, control, and report status of all software, and infrastructure changes to project software
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum ten years relevant work including configuration management experience serving in a similar capacity and in an environment with tasks of similar scope, complexity, and technical difficulty.
- Experience with two or more commercial software products (e.g. Subversion, Trac, ClearCase, Razor, TeamWare) used for configuration management.
- Experience in Agile methods is desired.
