System Engineer level 3 (SE3)
Description of Position
Need individual to perform systems
engineering functions, including high-level system design, planning development
and production infrastructure, documenting user requirements, and developing
installation, integration, and acceptance test plans. The selected individual
will interact with customers and software engineers to set expectations write
specifications that capture user requirements, write functional specifications
that provide detailed descriptions of application behavior, and ensure
completeness and feasibility of the functional specification and deployed software.
An acceptable candidate will:
· Have significant
experience gathering requirements for and implementing no-trivial software
· Have significant
experience testing software applications
· Be comfortable
with creating mock user interfaces that can be used in requirements gathering
and functional specification
· Possess excellent
communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to engage both
technical and non-technical people in highly interactive dialogs
· Be knowledgeable
with the mechanics of J2EE applications
· Have a solid
knowledge of bug tracking and versioning software
A highly qualified candidate will have
all of the above, plus:
· Have specific knowledge of Bugzilla and
Subversion
· Have experience writing end user documentation
