Position
This position is for software or system engineers to provide Front Line
Engineering/Tier 2 support for TU Data flow.
Operational System Support- Provide dataflow support TU
systems. This includes monitoring and improving monitoring of the
TU data flows; providing defined daily/weekly/monthly metrics on data flows and
responding to requests for gathering new metrics; responding to and ensuring
resolution of operational data flow issues reported by site personnel, 24X7 Monitoring centers, Tier 1 support, other
dataflow groups, and end users; and providing feedback to development engineers
on how to improve stability and supportability. May also assist with installations, upgrades,
and patches and ensure system is operating as expected after these actions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- SIGINT community knowledge
- Working knowledge of Linux (evidenced in work-history)
- Experience with script writing
- Strong communications skills
- Experience supporting complex operational software systems including trouble shooting and problem solving
- Willing to be part of a team that provides after hours call-in support on a rotating basis and respond in a timely manner
- Willing to occasionally work non-standard hours
- Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements.
Other Desired Skills
& Experience:
• Experience Sybase or other database
• Linux System Administration knowledge
• Knowledge of collection systems
• SIGINT data types knowledge
Education: Candidate must meet the education requirements in the labor category. Six years over the required years experience substitute for the BS requirement. Certifications and AA degrees count as 1 year experience each.
